This is my fifth year in real estate and I've been at Trueblood Real Estate for 15 months now. I grew up in the real estate business, working with my mom when I was a kid all the way through high school and in college, and joined my mom about 5 years ago.

We worked at a few different brokerages previously and I actually got to know Jim Trueblood through Andy who has been my best friend since we were kids. I wasn’t looking to make a move to a different brokerage at that time, but after having a conversation with Jim about what they offered and their tools and fees, it made a lot of sense for our business to make the move.

How is TRE different from other brokerages?

The technology - we're always on the cutting edge. If there's a tool out there that's right for the company, Jim is going to get it, we will be able to use it, and they are going to teach us how to use it. I felt that at other brokerages, they were hesitant to make changes which isn't the case at TRE. If there's a better option out there, Jim will go and get it to help our business grow.

What is your favorite thing about Trueblood Real Estate?

For me it’s the people. It's the people that make me feel at home. We have a true team that really supports each other. I've been other places where people talk about that, but it doesn't actually feel like everyone is really in your corner. I can definitely say it feels that way here at Trueblood Real Estate. 

What qualities is TRE looking for in a Realtor?

Trueblood Real Estate is a place where you need to be ready for opportunity, and you need to be ready to grow and challenge yourself because there are constantly opportunities that are presented to us which I never really had at other brokerages.

If you're a Realtor looking to join TRE, you have to have the ability to work a little bit on your own. This isn't a hand holding place, it's what you make of it. 

How does TRE challenge you?

Being a part of Trueblood Real Estate has challenged me to push and grow my business in a different way. I wasn't doing any advertising prior to TRE. We were pretty much a sphere-based business. Jim has pushed me to challenge myself and take on additional advertising expense in order to really grow my business and take it to the next level.
