Meet Darcy Knott
Meet Darcy
As a busy mom of three, and new to the agent side of real estate, Darcy has taken her career to the next level at Trueblood Real Estate.
Read Darcy's story about her experience at TRE and what advice she has for you.
I knew there was no one else I wanted to work for.
I've known Jim Trueblood since I was a child. He is good friends with my husband so we grew up together. After some time working in Selections and Design and Sales for two custom home builders, I took some time off to stay home with my kids. When I began work again I knew I wanted to work with Jim. I knew he was big on marketing and is very innovative in this industry, and that was important to me as a newer agent.
I liked the way he presented his business model. I have experience with different sides of the real estate transaction but not as an agent so the structure that he has is great, especially for someone like me who has kids and is a new to this side of the business.
The culture is great because even if you’ve been doing it for a long time you’re always pushed to grow and learn more in your career.
This is a place where people genuinely like coming into the office. It’s not like other 8-5 jobs I’ve worked where you come in, sit down, work and go home. It's a nice atmosphere where I think everyone feels that they can come as they are and someone is always there to offer you advice. There’s always something to learn and someone there to help.
Aside from our holiday parties and community events, one of my favorite parts of work is after our team meetings on Tuesdays, a bunch of us grab lunch together at a restaurant down the street. We always have a good time when we’re together and if I could do it over, and Jimmy started this 20 years ago, I would’ve gladly jumped into real estate then.

What qualities is TRE looking for in a Realtor?
No matter if you’re a first time agent or a more seasoned agent, there’s a place for everyone at Trueblood Real Estate. I would say you have to work hard, be assertive with internet leads, be able to handle rejection, and open to learning new techniques and skills. Other than that, TRE has all of the tools and resources that you need to learn and grow.
What motivates you to be successful at TRE?
I genuinely love helping people. I don't want to push someone to buy something they don’t absolutely love. It's rewarding to help someone find something they love and can call home. I love when they send me pictures of their home or of updates they’ve done. It’s stuff like that and the people that I meet that makes me want to keep working.

What is the office like?
Going into the office, it's such a diverse group of people that we work with. But it's a nice atmosphere where I think everyone feels that they can come as they are and someone is always there to offer you advice.
