I was born and raised in central Ohio.  I grew up in a family of 7 children on a farm where I learned the values of loving and serving others, hard work, attention to detail, honesty, integrity, and persistence 😊 – thanks to my parents!

I lived in central Wisconsin for 20 years with my husband Kurt until he retired from the United States Post Office after 30+ years.  We moved to the Lafayette area 2 years ago, to be away from the extreme Winters of Wisconsin and nearer to my family in Ohio.  Serving in the counseling field for the last 10 years has helped me further develop the kind of people skills necessary to give clients the kind of experience they want to repeat and tell their friends about.  I go the extra mile to learn, understand, help, serve, and support my clients – from the first time we meet, to beyond closing day.  I understand and respect the fact that buying a home is the largest purchase a client has made up to that point, and selling a home may have a lot of emotions attached, and I treat it accordingly.  I began my real estate career with an experienced team that gave me a great foundation!  I started as a transaction coordinator before becoming licensed, so I understand the process from start to finish.  I made the move to being an agent on my own, when I found that I love being in front of and accessible to my client throughout the whole process from start to finish.

I have been a DIYer for many years, doing everything from painting inside and outside of our home, to laying woodwork, remodeling bathrooms, laying floor and backsplash tile, adding stone to the outside of our last home, etc.!  I come from a long line of DIYers, which makes me extremely interested in every aspect of the homes I sell, adding value for my clients.

My husband Kurt enjoys helping me in every way he possibly can, which adds value for my clients:  from putting up signs and taking them down, to accompanying me at open houses and showings, and taking care of finances.  We are a team.   In our free time we enjoy Florida beaches, playing golf every chance we get (he’s FAR better!), exercising, doing lawn work, decorating/updating our home, reading/watching historic novels/movies, playing games, putting together puzzles, visiting with friends, helping neighbors, but most of all visiting our families as often as we possibly can – especially our “grandbabies” in Ohio.

When you list or buy a home with me, you get the “real deal” – keeping what’s best for you as my client first and foremost.  I always want to hear what I did well and should keep doing, AND what I can improve, so both my clients and the other agents I work with get the best experience possible!  Come take your home buying/selling journey with me – you’ll be glad you did!
